Being centrally located on Lake Ontario, between Rochester New York and Point Breeze the waters off Sandy Creek provides consistent fish catching opportunities year after year.

This part of the Lake Ontario has a good bottom structure with lots of feeder creeks that attract bait fish. Most of our early Spring Fishing takes place near shore around this structure. As summer progresses we move to deeper water looking for Thermocline temperature breaks. most of the time it is only a short boat ride to find the fish.

The month of April brings the early Brown trout into the shallows to feed on the early spawning baitfish. May brings in more Browns as well as the spring Kings. We also start to see schools of Steelhead as the off shore waters of the lake start to warm. Last but not least we start to see good numbers of lake trout as they go on a feeding binge to put the pounds back on after a long winter.

Fishing with your kid
Catch of the day June, July and August brings us schools of the largest predatory fish in Lake Ontario - The Chinook Salmon or The King Salmon. These monsters range anywhere from 10 to 15 lbs in the spring to over 30lbs in the summer and fall months. September brings the chance to land a record Brown Trout.
